Robert Joseph, Jr. is a Senior Manager for the Unclaimed Property Management Solutions Team of True Partners
Consulting, LLC. Robert has extensive experience in all aspects of unclaimed property including defense of large scale
general ledger multi‐state audits, assisting with voluntary disclosures and compliance, annual reporting, policy &
procedure reviews and mergers & acquisition due diligence reviews. Robert represents holders in a variety of
industries including financial services, property/casualty insurance, retail, healthcare, information services,
manufacturing and energy exploration.

Robert currently serves as the committee chairperson of the Conference & Seminars committee for the Unclaimed
Property Professionals Organization (“UPPO”). Before joining True Partners, Robert was a Senior Manager with BDO
USA, LLP and a manager at Ryan, LLC and PwC LLP, working in the state and local tax practices.

Relevant Experience

  • Over 15 years of experience providing state and local tax services, specializing in sales and use and unclaimed property.
  • Robert has been successful in mitigation escheat exposures on behalf of his clients in numerous jurisdictions and with
    various audit firms and administrators due to his deep understanding of accounting principles, transaction flow, unclaimed
    property law and his favorable relationships with the states.
  • Jim has spoken at holder education and industry seminars hosted by UPPO, Lorman, FUSION, National Association of Black
    Accountants (“NABA”), the Ohio Tax Conference and various other professional organizations.
